The Rustic Barn

The Rustic Barn name comes from the large red barn that serves as office, store and loafin' room. It is an unusual barn of its architectural type with only a few remaining. The barn has no internal support posts. All of the support is around the sides. The loafin' room is a large open area that has rocking chairs, Satellite TV, paperback books, sofa and reclining chairs. It is a lounge to relax, watch TV, exchange a book, or rock and talk. Its walls are decorated with many interesting artifacts. A broad front porch with comfortable rockers provides a place to snooze, schmooze, or just enjoy.

We have square dancing in the barn when our square dance groups hold a campout. They bring the barn alive with music and dancing. Our campers like to come in and watch the festivities. They have often been invited to come out and learn a few steps.

The barn has a wooden floor that is perfect for square dancing. The furniture is moved aside, and there is a large area to dance.
